(c. 1945).The carvings are beautiful with many flowers and leaves. The grandfather clock is made of the finest walnut and the patina is outstanding. The clock case is signed with " P.L." and probably made by Phillippe Lacroiseaux a famous clock case in France in that time.The clock is in perfect condition and is running on time.These old grandfather clocks are getting so hard to come by these days- especially in such lovely condition! The clock has three brass weights and plays every 15 minutes a gorgeous Westminster melody on eight gong bars.
