The calligraphy is some blessing from the Koran (I do not know the exact translation) The stone is quite large and very finely carved: 30mmx25mm the setting extends a little beyond the contour of the ring The stone is set in 22ka gold based on an ancient Greek design. It is a heavy, impressive and quite opulent ring weighing 22g. On a personal note, being somewhat familiar with Islamic engraved stone and having seen many in Turkey, Iran, Egypt and England, I sincerely assure you that this is a very rare piece.
