Description
Original Butterick Victorian Shirtwaist Pattern Sz 36 Offered for auction is this fabulous original Butterick pattern from the late 1800s. Patent date on envelope is 1898. This is a pattern for a ladies' Shirt-Waist or blouse Size 36, Bust 36. This is genuine vintage from the 1880s - Pattern number 4108. This Shirt-Waist with body in one with full length shorter sleeves, Dutch collar or neckband for wear with other seperate collars. This is to be made as a seperate waist or attached to a skirt in Semi-Princess style. The envelope is kind of ragged, but this pattern is complete and cut with the original instructions on the bottom half of the front and on the back of the envelope. I did check to make sure that all of the pattern pieces are here. They are, and are all in excellent condition except for the one piece for the front-back-and sleeve. This one does have a tear but is all there. Just needs taped if you wish. Still very useable. This is an unprinted pattern. I purchased a large variety of vintage sewing patterns at a local estate sale this past weekend. I will be listing more of these patterns in the next couple of weeks. Be sure to check my other auctions. These are a great variety of patterns from the 1930s, 40s, and 50s with a few from the 1960s and 70s. There are even a few from the late 1880s.
