This is an original period piece in excellent condition. Set on a marble base. Base inscribed by the artist. ABOUT THE ARTIST: Pierre le Faguays, French (1892-1925) was born in Nantes, France and became famous for the originality of his dancers, inspired by the statues of Tanagra. He received a medal of honour for his work in 1927. The Le Verrier foundry made most - if not all - of his pieces. Fayral and Guerbe were 2 pseudonyms used by the famous Le Faguays. Fayral and Guerbe were the family names for his mother and wife.
