Old necklace of collection “Trade Beads” of the year 1930/1945 from Africa, tribe of the Fulani. It has 20 strands of red decorated with venetian beads decorated with some coins of the epoch and sonorous beads of the 19th century. It has 61 cm long and has been used in tribal celebrations and as ornament. The term "Trade beads" has been applied to beads made mainly in Venice and Bohemia from the year 1400 and up to the pricipios of 1900.  Many of these beads were produced and marketed in Africa. You can find information about these beads of trade in books: History of Beads (Dubin), Africa Adorned (Fisher) and several books of John and Ruth Picard. The Fulani are a people of unknown origin, who lives in West Africa. Most live in northern Nigeria where, together with the hausa, they add 30 millions.  It was also found in Mali, Guinea, Niger, Burkina Faso and otos places in Africa. Con 20 hebras de cuentas venecianas rojas decoradas con alguna moneda de la época y cuentas sonoras del siglo XIX.   Tiene 61 cm de largo y ha sido usado en celebraciones y como ornamento tribal.   El termino "Trade beads" ha sido aplicado a cuentas hechas principalmente en Venecia y Bohemia desde el año 1400 y hasta los pricipios de 1900.
