For the past several weeks, needle work and sewing items from a New England collectors estate have been offered. This is another item from the collection which spanned the 19th and 20th centuries and contained items from Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. You are bidding for two (2) steel tatting shuttles. Circa 1920s. These are Boye tatting shuttles. Both have a bobbin in the center and one has thread wrapped around it. One shuttle is marked with a patent date of April 17, 1923; the other is not dated but probably from the same era. The dated shuttle is about 2 3/4 inches long, the other is approximately 2 7/8 inches. Both were used and show some light surface scratches. Bidding starts at $15 with no reserve.
