Description
Very nice early 20th c. Nez Perce cornhusk bag. This bag is 9" tall and 8 1/4" wide. Colors are very crisp and in a bold geometric pattern. The second picture shows 4 small, 1/4 to 3/8th inch areas with moth damage. There is a soiled area on the back as pictured and the bag has allover slight soiling and signs of use. This bag was made to be used and was used by the original maker. The original inside ties are still attached and have small turquoise colored beads on them. According to a note found inside, the bag was obtained in Lewiston, Idaho from a Nez Perce family. A wonderful example of a cornhusk bag.Payment can be made with check, M.O. or PayPal.
