Try Vendio Gallery Risk FREE!                                               SINGER MODEL 20     TOY SEWING MACHINE & BOX   CIRCA 1922           Measures 6 1/4" x 3" x 7"                                        Up for auction is a beautiful, charming, rare antique toy sewing machine.  This machine is the third style model 20 that Singer manufactured in 1922.  It's in Excellent-near-mint-like-NEW condition. It looks unused. The glossy black enamel paint finish is very good. It has NO wear from a table clamp being used on the base. The chrome sewing plate and other metal parts are very shiny - like new. The hand-wheel turns and the needle part moves. It has a needle. The felt on the bottom is very good - like new. There is no fabric guide on the sewing plate; otherwise the machine is complete. This machine is a rarer version of the 1922 model because it has USA stamped in gold on the base. Singer manufactured less of this style. It comes with a Singer 20 instruction booklet, a full Singer needle packet with 3 needles, a tool/key for removing the needle, and a unique antique table clamp with a butterfly handle - Circa late 1800's  to early 1900's. It includes the original SINGER box. The box has some wear and has been taped. The paper graphics are nice for display. It's rare to find this model machine with it's original box. * This machine is listed in Glenda Thomas' Toy Sewing Machine Guide Book I, Copyright 1995. She appraised it at up to $175.   The value of the machines appraised in Thomas' books have gone up in value since.  She describes the machine as follows: * Gear driven, nickel plated, spiral handwheel with arrows. * Tension and stitch-length regulator and seam gauge.  * Sews a chain stitch. Don't let this beautiful rare gem get away.You won't find a 1922 Singer 20 machine in any better condition than like-NEW! It's a PERFECT gift for a collector or child.
