Lot of 16+ Antique Sewing Items Welcome to Robins in the Trundle Bed, brimming with antiques, whimsies, and fripperies that we have gathered in treasure hunts over the New England countryside. We are pleased to offer this lot of antique late Victorian to Early Edwardian sewing items (two items vintage, not antique). The lot includes sixteen items plus numerous pins and needles: · A tomato form pin cushion with strawberry emery ball with five black mourning pins (2 ¾”) · A round red satin pin cushion with assorted pins. The 3” pin cushion is made of a fabric with bow designs. · A sweetgrass basket container, measuring 3” tall. · A 4” long hardwood mushroom darner. Handle unscrews. · A celluloid tatting shuttle · A pink/white brocade round pin safe with pins. Shaker? · Two 2” high lathe turned hardwood needle cases with screw tops (one has remnants of red paint) · Two French 3” wooden lace making bobbins with thread · An oak handled marking wheel · An empty W. Crowley and Sons English needle box · An empty size 7 silver cased thimble box · A black velvet embroidered needle case/pin holder with two cream felt layers in between the velvet · A German (marked Rhineland; Piccadilly Superfine needles)) cardboard, needle case with a large selection of needles · A vintage 2 ½” tin round pin cushion. Blue velvet top; container opens to reveal mirrored lid and hot pink paper lining. Marked “Made in Japan” on the side. Bottom is lined with fancy black paper. Items are all in good or better condition. Most are in excellent condition. Pin cushions, show wear from use.
