LARGE Antique AMPHORA Art Nouveau MAIDEN PORTRAIT VASE Start Price USD 12,250.00 Current Price USD 12,250.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Saturday, July 19, 2008 End Time Tuesday, July 29, 2008 Location Pottstown, Pennsylvania See more about 'LARGE Antique AMPHORA Art Nouveau MAIDEN PORTRAIT VASE' Description LARGE Antique AMPHORA Art Nouveau MAIDEN PORTRAIT VASE DescriptionWe are pleased to offer this exquisite and rare Amphora vase.  Please note that the photos taken outside in natural light give the most accurate representation of the true colors of this piece.  The colors are not as dark as they look in the darker photos.This vase is a large size measuring 11.75 inches high (about 30 cm) and approximately 6.25 inches in diameter (about 16 cm).  The decoration features the profile of a lovely maiden with flowers in her hair.  She has beautiful coloring on her dress and flowers in shades of blue, pink, purple and green (it looks like enamel), highlighted with raised gold.  Her long hair flows into the trees/forest and the forest continues around the entire piece.  The background of the vase is an ivory color and the trees are done in shades of green with gold accents.Markings include the red "RStK" mark with "Made In Austria" faintly visible underneath, an impressed "632" and the impressed "Amphora" in an oval mark (very hard to see in the photo but it is there) - dating this piece to around 1905.  The condition is excellent.  There are no chips, cracks or repairs.  There is some wear to the gold, mainly around the top/rim of the vase and on some of the raised areas outlining the flowers.  See photos for details.  All photos can be enlarged by clicking on them.This piece will be shipped double boxed and fully insured.  To simplify things, there will be no additional cost for shipping.  But I will consider how much it will cost me to ship it to you when I'm deciding whether to accept your offer.  For your information, insured shipping will cost approximately $80 within the USA, $300 to Europe and $350 to Australia.   Check my feedback and buy with confidence.  Checks, money orders, bank wire transfers and cash are accepted for this item.  Local pickup or delivery can be arranged.  Please email me with any questions or if you require any other photos.  Thanks for looking!
