For sale is freshly restored Koto Tachi displaying very nice Choji Gunome Hamon! I've had this blade polished and all of its mounts restored so it is ready to be enjoyed. The blade seems to be Mino school. There are no forging flaws only some small grain openings as it is to be expected with old Koto blades. Very nice and healthy Boshi and blueish color to the Thamagane steel. Nagasa measures 65.5 cm. The tachi is suriage with two Mekugi ana. It seems like the previous Japanese owner must have tried to remove the signatures from the sword's Nagakos as it shows evidence of grinding while this must have been down some decades ago. The Koshirae is all matching with nice Kojiri, Kurigata and Koiguchi on the Saya. New Tsukaito and Same. Mon Menuki. Copper with Shakudo plating Habaki. Iron Tsuba with some gold zogan.
