'Book of Kells' Tapestry Double Bedspread     Hey, the ships are sailing and the planes are flying and we're getting shipments from Ireland and I just opened a big box last Thursday from my ladies in Inisbofin...new designs, new colours, new sizes, just gorgeous! For the second year in a row, when we were home in Ireland in January we traveled over to the border of County Mayo and County Galway to Inisbofin, a tiny inhabited Island. We wanted to visit our four ladies in the tiny island village of Inisbofin who make our bedspreads and cushion covers because we wanted to order many more. And while we where there, we saw them making these tapestry Celtic design double bedspreads (88" x 106") and we knew we were going to have to have one...and we also knew that if we like them, so would you. Aren't these gorgeous? They are 88" x 106" and they are tapestry. This is what we call the 'Book of Kells' double bedspread (blue) because that's where the design came from. It depicts the four Gospels...Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. It's hard describe the colours of this tapestry tablecloth because they're all there...but I guess you could say that the primary colours are green, amber, cherry red and black and there are a lot of other colours. (We just got in another 'Book of Kells' double speadspread and the primary colours are blue and purple...and you'll be seeing that one soon). The pictures are spot-on! This is a lovely piece. If this won't light up your bedroom then we give up. You'll absolutely love this gorgeous piece from the West Coast of Ireland.
