Bapt. Schweitzer. Appam. (Germany).  This is not a original, but a very fine copy of Schweitzer's work.  According to my local luthier, it is dated somewhere around the turn of the century (1890-1900).  Instrument is is very good shape for it's age (90-100 yrs)  Solid spruce top with solid maple back and sides.  Back is nice one piece flammed maple (see photo).  I have owned for about a year, and have used it in a few recordings.  It sounds good.  Needs some professional set-up to sound great (new sound post).  Neck angle is good, with no sign of any cracks anywhere on instrument.  Have to many fiddles and need to sell this one.  Good luck bidding!!        Place a Bid!
