Description
This is for a 1-piece Jacquard coverlet signed "Made By C Fehr in Emaus for ..., 1843". This is the mark of Charles Fehr of Emmaus, PA in Lehigh County. The colors are a pleasing combination of slate grey, deep red, olive, and dark blue. The coverlet measures approximately 76" wide by 77" high. This is an attractive coverlet and a nice early date for a one-piece Jacquard. Condition: excellent. Minor edge wear (the coverlet never had fringe), and a very slight moth wear to the interior. This is part of a collection of 19th Century woven coverlets that I will be selling with reasonable starting prices on ebay this Fall. UPS ground shipping to the lower 48 is $12.00. Insurance is extra. International shipping cost provided upon request. I do not charge "handling" fees. Payment by Paypal, money order or cashier's check is preferred. I also accept personal checks if you have >100 positive feedback with a 98% or higher feedback rating. Bid with confidence, as I have over 6,000 positive feedback and a 100% seller satisfaction rating. Please check out my other auctions for a variety of folk art (including Grenfell mats, hooked rugs, and other woven coverlets from my personal collection), early pottery, prints, and other interesting items with reasonable starting prices. Your satisfaction is guaranteed on all your ebay purchases from me. I am one of the few ebay sellers that offer "no questions asked" 7-day return and refund (less shipping cost).
