It is in the style of Louis XV, with an elaborately hand-carved base, possibly of walnut or rosewood. The body, including down cushion, is upholstered in an opulent brick red and gold fabric from Mulberry of England. The sofa is structurally sound and in very good condition, although the down cushion needs to be refilled. My family has enjoyed and cared for this sofa for over 50 years and it is only for lack of space that I am selling it. I would love for it to find a place in an elegant new home. The sofa's dimensions are 51.5"w x 35"h x 26"d. Buyer must arrange pick-up from New York City. Item is offered as is and is a final sale.
