Hi:Here is an Important  Antique Persian Serapi carpet which measures 9ft. 8 inches wide by 13 ft. long. The design of this fascinating rug is very unusual and it has many rare elements that are seldom seen in carpets of the late 19th century.The highly ornate navy center medallion is resting on a muted rust field with amazing ivory corners surronded by detailed rust color border which create a great monotone color pallette.I have seen rugs of this  magnitude sell in sotheby's of New York for  good $ 30,000 dollars but  I must  admit  I  am no sothebys! So  here  I am  selling this magnificent rug at only a fraction of the cost so the savings will be transfered  to you. This is a beautiful rug and I will let the images speak for the rug and let you be the judge of the complexity and beauty of this magnificent work of art.Condition report:  The rug has been professionally  washed for the purpose of this auction  and has  no odors.  There are some  worn areas and scattered  knot heads   throu out the rug but no holes or any patches. There are absolutely NO tinting or any touch ups anywhere in the rug.There is an old stain in one ivory corner of the rug which I have shown in the images. The rug could benefit from some restoration but as you can see they are not that visible so therefore I would say it is up to you to decide how much of restoration will be done or is needed on the rug.All in all, It is a magnificent  antique serapi with some minor repairs needed.
