During construction, he insisted that the ship be fitted with a second row of canon in both sides. The shipbuilder - Henrik Hybertsson knew that this would make its top heavy, but he dared not argue with the King. The Wasa sunk 20 minutes after her launch in 1628. She was raised on April 24 1961 after 333 years on the sea bottom and completely restored, she now rest in the Stockholm Naval Museum.Quoting from the company who manufactures this model:"Dimensions: 38"(long) x 33"(tall) x 11"(wide) This model was built according to scale of the original ship by skillful craftsmen. It takes hundreds of man-hours to finish. Model is full assembled and ready for display." This model ship comes from an estate and is not brand new. It has one broken mast and is missing at least one cannon.
