Llater became the Portuguese ELVIRA and was used on the Lisbon - Rio de Janeiro - New Orleans - Lisbon service. In 1913 she was renamed ARGO. The half hull is constructed of seven lifts of which two are under the hull's blue paint. The wood used is distressed and has some small worm holes which adds to the appearance of age. Each is of a historic ship that opened the trade routes between Asia, England and the United States. Worm holes in wood. Hand finished. Backboard appears to be Pine finished as Mahogany.
