It was originally used in a great Lucas Place ante - bellum Mansion in St. Louis and later moved to an equally grand mansion on historic Vandeventer Place. The chandelier was acquired by the Chase Hotel in St. Louis and placed in one of their most elegant dining rooms. It is massive with a 65" drop and 40" diameter. Because of it's grand scale, it could be used in a commercial as well as residential restoration. This fabulous chandelier is in pristine condition. It has been electrified but all 24 original individual gas valves are still intact. Theis Plating Company in St. Louis recently restored the original gilt plating and newly rewired this original gas fixture. The hundreds of crystal globes and drops are absolutely unique and all intact along with yards and yards of graduated crystal garlands.
