Antique Persian Hand MadeMahajeran Rug We have had an antique furniture and Oriental rug shop open to the public in Central Pennsylvania for over 25 years. We know rugs and describe them to you accurately in terms of age, quality, and condition. Our rugs are not recently shipped from dealers in Europe but come from the estates of collectors in the US. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Description: This is a great antique Persian Mahajeran Hand knotted Oriental rug from the 1910's in very good condition. The rug has a great design with really excellent colors, some of the best for this type of rug. It has mostly even-low pile with 2 minor lower areas (the foundation is not visible). The ends have some minor rows missing as you can see in the pictures. The weave is excellent. It is extremely rare to find this type of rug in this size and condition. Colors: Navy background with salmon border and teal, light blue, gold, rust, green. Size: 6' 10" x 9' 8" All dust has been removed from the foundation of the rug and it has been professionally hand shampooed.
