Description
Here is an excellent cinnabar-painted hardwood mummy bundle mask decorated with a textile headband. This museum-grade antiquity was carved with a broad face, large diamond-shaped eyes embellished with white pigment and black resin pupils, a prominent nose and a diminutive smiling mouth. This superb mask is 10.5" (27 cm) high and 10" (25 cm) wide; without repairs or restoration, it is in overall excellent condition.A 2.75" x 40" headband of beautifully woven textile is wrapped around the forehead and tied in back. This impressive sash depicts narrow diagonal bands of complex serrated designs alternating with bands of repeat-motif birds, the whole meticulously woven in red, brown, tan and blue.
