It measures 43 inches in height , measured from the very center of collar downwards. The overall width at the very base, is 37 inches ( doubled ) and 74 inches in span The additional back flap is 23 inches wide and about 28 inches in drop length. The arm flaps measured from shoulder to the most exterior edge are 28 inches. The Area of each arm flap would be double of two triangles having legs measuring 28 inches by 18 inches by 16 inches. The bottom edges of the robe, the arm flaps and the back flap are decorated with silk rainbow tassels about 3 1/2 inches in length. The Interior of robe/shawl is lined with a burgundy silk . Two grades of Kani weaving make up different pieces of the shawl / robe. One being extremely fine. Exceptional workmanship and dazzling range of lively colors are used in weaving this shawl. It is tantelizing. Most thrilling and pleasant with exceptional detail. Original Kashmir Shawls have been gobbled up in the past few years. Very few are offered and when they are offered they are gobbled up pretty fast. In very good overall condition. a dozen or so moth nibbles , very little wear on silk lining , most of which are either pointed out in the images or can be seen . about 10 to 12 inches of lining has been unstitched under one arm and needs to be stitched back in place ( this was done to gain access to the back.) Exceptional workmanship. I let the images do the rest of the talking although you should have in mind that it was a hard item to properly photograph and that images do not convey the beauty and the detail as they should.
