Description
FRENCH ART DECO LEATHER CLUB  CHAIR ADNET PAIR for sale  Made in France in the 1930's this pairs of  armchair blends style and comfort , often imitated and reproduced  I am offering you the real thing .This chair is clearly cubist in inspiration. The design is inspired or from ADNET.Jacques Adnet defines himself as an "innovator and classicist, a champion of the tradition leading toward the future." Infatuated with functionalism, he created solidly constructed furniture, very sober and often times completely lacking of all decor .You need to appreciate Antiques and "the sense of passing of time" to purchase it , the Ebony of  Rosewood arm rest are indicative of a good provenance .The inside original coils were restring . I had them refurbished by a professional , which means cleaned and left as much as possible in their original form . With care and attention you can use them for many years to come. CAUTION : the upholstery has been redone with a hand stained leather which look like an old parched one . The pictures should look lighter than in reality , I use Photoshop so you can see the leather better as the piece is darker and more uniform  in tone .The darker part should be  the closest to the truth. Reference from "Ensemble mobilier 1937"  Size H.32 x W.33 x D.35, cushion L.23 xW.19 .I take credit card and American Express, the transaction will go thought my store .I guaranty my Antiques to be original, shipping will be done by truck or UPS depending on size. After the auction ends you need to contact me directly at Jcstyle@pacbell.net or use the Ebay link to Email me. You can also call me at the store 310 550 6726.I expect to be paid within 8 days so if you cannot do it please do not bid. CAUTION : I  sell antiques so expect a normal tear and wear to show even if all my pieces are refinished and considered in perfect antique condition .Californian resident to pay sale tax. It is pair for sale , 2 club chairs   This club chair below is sold and show only as a sample of the possible coloring  and process :you can see the different steps we follow to restore an original French art deco club chairs .First we stripped the old leather and old padding .The coils are restring (Eight-Way Hand-Tied Springs), the Frame repaired , the padding is redone with cotton ,linen and wool stuffing. The hand stitched leather is nailed to the wood frame .Finally we stained the leather with Aniline dyed to give it a patina .The end result is a well designed and built Art deco club chairs with all the style and quality of an original French Art deco club Chairs HTML clipboard To respect the new rule concerning Link I put a link at the bottom which bring you to "About me " where you can find more information on French Art Deco and French Antiques .This is not an offer to sell outside of Ebay site.
