This piece was designed in 1957 and is sculpted from bleached mahogany, cane and leather. The cushion as well as the fabric on the arms has been replaced with a high end upholstery relative to the production period. The finish and the cane are both in excellent original condition with no surprises. This piece will easily support a 200lb man. The structure of the chair itself is very tight and solid. It does not wobble at all. The sculptural qualities of this chaise are quite remarkable. An absolutely stunning addition to any serious classic modern collection.
