Description
This is a wonderful cherry 16 pane corner cupboard. It is 7' 5" tall by 50" wide and 56" wide at the molding. There are 2 top doors with 8 panes of glass each with step down mullions on the outside. Most of the glass is newer held in with nails. Below is 2 doors with solid poplar panels. Between the top and bottom doors is a nice waist molding. The inside back and the shelves are painted a nice old green. The outside of the cabinet is an old finish that may be original. I am guessing this cupboard to be from the 1840's. It has straight-back returns on the side which go back to the wall. The base has a cutout foot which is 6 1/2" from the ground. The back is square nailed. There is an 11" sliver of wood missing on the left outside bottom. The cupboard is in great condition with no hinge splits or other major damage. Just the usual wear from age.
