This incredible carving is entirely fresh to the market and it appears to have been made by a highly skilled Maori carver of the Rotorua school circa 1880-1920 in our opinion. An epic carving in its own right, it should attract world wide attention, especially with the renewed interest in carvers from this school of artists.
