It is a breathtaking piece and would sit proudly and as the talking point of any interiors scheme. The satinwood has a lovey finish to it and is offered in great condition. There is ample storage space to the piece with two cupboard compartments and eight drawers to the bottom and the glass fronted, adjustable shelved display cabinets above. There are some lovely hand painted designs to every surface of the bookcase including musical instruments, scrolls, roses, leaves and other arabesques in the Sheraton manner. The brushwork is very detailed indeed. The display cabinets can house a mixture of books and decorative items. Once the bookcase has items in it it really starts to come alive and I would have liked more time to illustrate photographically how this looked. The piece is built to the highest standards and will last for generations to come. This one has come back from the restorers where it had a repolish which has brought the grain of the wood out a treat. The glass fronted cabinets have a lovely latticed effect over them. The keyholds, hinges and mounts are burnished brass. It is offered in very good condition and we will ship to anywhere in the world. We bought it from a dealer in Suffolk and it is quite unusual for a piece of such quality and age to come on the market so get in quick.
