Double Arm French/Italian Tole Sconce Start Price USD 175.00 Current Price USD 175.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Saturday, August 30, 2008 End Time Saturday, September 06, 2008 Location Atlanta See more about 'Double Arm French/Italian Tole Sconce' Description Classic Italian tole double arm sconce (electrified) probably from the 50's or 60's.  It is almost navy blue with gold accents.  The  tole painting on the backplate and on the front of the shades is a typical French/Italian motif with the horns, sheetmusic, laurel leaves and ribbon.  The painting itself is in good condition.  No paint loss but the artwork on the shades is definitely "more faded" than on the backplate.  I assume this might be from the sun or heat from the bulbs.  It is still clearly visible and in good condition also.  The backplate measures 12" long and 6 1/2" wide.  It can be plugged in or could be hardwired into the wall.   I just wish there had been two of them, BUT  I think one could be used lots of places.  I'm listing two Italian tole trays and a lavabo from this same estate.  Great tole!   Thanks for loooking, Apologize for the "not so great" pictures and email with questions!  Not sure about the shipping calculator!    It is signed Italy on the back!  The more I look at this sconce I believe it is painted black!
