Using the same basic deadrise hull design, only fitted with the new gasoline engine, the original Draketail stern was modeled after the Navy Torpedo boats which patrolled the Chesapeake. The Deadrise boat is the state boat of Virginia. Model length 9 5/8", mounted on a rectangular (12" x 5 1/4"), mahogany stained wooden backing board with brass plaque.
