Its not Chinese or Japanese. Not quartz either. Has a special jeweled Howard Miller brass movement. We have talked to quite a few people in regards to this clock. Thanks for all emails and information. Story told by others is when Chelsea ran short of movements they did use some other companies during War time crunch times towards the end of any war. Seems to be quite a rare clock and its all original.
