Description
Welcome to divinesecretsofthematildasisterhood, where the door is never closed! We're located deep in the heart of rural Success, filled to overflowing with wonderful collectables.    This quilt is an authentic antique handmade American quilt...there is none of the 'dreaded' Aunty pearl stitcheries here. This highly loved pattern has been lovingly crafted by a true quilting artisam  - all those years ago....beyond vintage!  The American Civil War (1861–1865), was a civil war in the United States of America. Eleven Southern slave states declared their secession from the U.S. and formed the Confederate States of America (the Confederacy). Led byJefferson Davis, they fought against the U.S. federal government (the "Union"), which was supported by all the free states and the five slaveholding border states. So come on in and browse a while...I know you'll love this hard-to-find-and-much-loved pattern…Christmas here we come!   FEATURES: This is an OUTSTANDING quilt, FINELY STITCHED, all cotton, thin and lightweight, and in UNBELIEVABLY EXCELLENT CONDITION! I find no flaws on this beauty except for typical fading of the overdyed green and one block with a stain on it.      It's intensely hand quilted with black thread at 10 tiny stitches per inch. The quilting lines in the cross hatch pattern are only 1/2" apart and the quilt lines around the stars are even closer!   They're so close and the stitching is so tiny that it looks like stipple quilting. The stars are made of two different red and black prints, set into a white block. You will not be disappointed in this finely made 1800s quilt! PATTERN: SEVEN SISTERS AGE: circa mid 1800s FABRICS: cotton   shot with the light at the back of the quilt STITCHING: hand pieced, hand quilted at 10 tiny stitches per inch, counting one side only, quilting lines very closely spaced, hand stitched bindingBATTING: very thin layer of cotton SIZE: 70" x 75"(+/-) CONDITION: EXCELLENT ANTIQUE CONDITION! One block has a stain on it and some fading on overdyed green. Quality Assurance: Although selling is my main eBay activity for a collective of relatives and friends, I also buy for myself from eBay, so I understand both sides. I only offer items in excellent clean condition... things I'd be happy to own myself and those that you will be happy to receive.   Many items are vintage which means not new, and some items may display some signs of wear. In some cases as you know, this time-worn charm makes things even better, and, in others it is a very minor and forgivable trade off for owning amazing one-of vintage pieces.   You can be assured I am extremely fussy, even pernickety & picky; very selective and careful about my items for sale in order to never disappoint. Please read the item descriptions carefully as they will include plenty of information and items will be described accurately and honestly with flaws (if any). Feel free to ask any further questions - it is better to ask than assume; safeguarding us both against a misunderstanding. Items will arrive to you packed with care from my clean & smoke free home.   Thank you for trading with me; your business is welcomed & greatly appreciated!   Postage: I live in the most isolated capital city in the world - on the rural outskirts of Perth, Western Australia.   "Australia Post" has not let me down yet...but it does take more than the weekend plus to get your parcel to you - especially if you live in the eastern states!   Please be patient ...I always strive to mail your items as fast as possible and in the most cost effective way - so please-hang in there and confidently award those  feedback stars with this information in mind!   Within Australia postage will be: well-wrapped in a $15.00 Express (Registered) Postpak   International bidders: Pay by PAYPAL only...this guarentees your purchase! I will contact you with the price after weighing the packaged article at the Australian Post Office.   Feedback My only negative feedback was incurred with my first ever transaction....the consequences of being a naive and 'virgin' Ebayer! (it has taken a zillion of transactions to get back to 100% so I work very hard at providing great goods and great service!)   I leave feedback upon hearing that you have received your item safe and sound and that you are happy with it. Buyers let me know that by posting positive feedback. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you do so regularly....just to see some more divine secrets!   Thank you for trading with me; your business is welcomed & greatly appreciated    Take time to smell the roses, cheers and blessings!   “Divine Secrets”   *I would be delighted if you would place me on your favourite's list
