This unit has been tested and played CDs and Cassettes.  The turntable turned and changed speeds --  I didn't have any records to use in further testing No manual is included but the only thing to remember would be the phonograph is turned on/off by moving the arm to the right and then left to the record or the arm stand. The cabinet and unit is in very good condition but may have been used for a short period of time.
