DESCRIPTION Here we have this Impressive Victorian Wood & Gesso Gold Gilt Trumeau mirror. This mirror is absolutely stunning and will date to about 1900. This is truly a statement piece and very well done! The wood frame with Gesso & Gold Gilding is exceptional with the original oval Oil on Canvas of two lovers on a balcony. The carvings of Gold Gilt Gesso depicting ribbons, flowers, various foliage and borders of egg & dart, hanging bell flowers and also bead moldings. The very large bevel mirror is original and still in quite good condition with only some minor spotting and streaking. We would have to say that this is the nicest Trumeau mirror we have seen. The measurements are 48" wide x 4 1/2" deep x 110" high. SHIPPING will be about $450.00 anywhere in the 48 States or most areas in Canada by blanket wrap movers.
