Sterling Silver French Ice Tongs Description: This auction is for a beautiful pair of antique French sugar tongs.  This is a large set of tongs, measuring 6 1/2" in length and weighing a very heavy 71 grams, or 2.28 troy ounces!  The tongs have a classic floral and hairy paw motif, and are deeply hand engraved with sharp detail.  They are hallmarked with a .950 standard Head of Minerva, and an unidentified makers mark.  If anyone has any insight as to who the maker is, please let us know!
