If you have any questions please call us at 1-308-324-4576.         This carved wooden horse is a beautiful work of art and it has nice details in the carving, however you will want to notice that this carved horse was not carved with a saddle nor does it have an opening for a pole to insert through it. Notice instead the bottom belly on the horse and the large opening where this horse would have attached to perhaps a ride without a pole perhaps more of a derby ride. No carved tail but perhaps this horse originally had a horse hair tail. We acquired this carved carousel type horse here in south central Nebraska. The horse is all there but the front leg needs to be placed back on the horse, and ear needs some repair (notice close up photo). The horse is approximately 84" long, 16" wide, and 38" high from the front hoof to the top of the horse's head. I have been told this horse was originally carved in spain. they were part of the House on the Rock in wisconsin and were sold off after alex jordan passed away.
