Description
I have spent many hours of work on this antique White treadle sewing machine and cabinet to remove the rust, corrosion, and splitting veneer left by decades of the abuses of time and lack of attention. With loving care, I have restored as near as possible the cabinet and the machine to a semblance of their original states. The machine was made probably in the early twentieth century. Its model number is 1480175. I removed almost a century of rust and corrosion from the iron legs, restoring them to original black and gold. New matching veneer replaced the old wood top. All the wooden parts have been refinished, stained a golden oak, and sealed with a light coating of lacquer. I have cleaned the machine and installed a new belt and new bobbin winder belt. The cabinet top has an inlaid ruler near the base of the machine. The machine comes with attachments, an oil can, a key, and an owner’s manual. All you need to sew on this "like-new" working machine are needle, thread, and foot power.
