We have not found a mark but believe it to be a Waymann dating to the late 1800's. There is minimal spreading at the seams and two tiny hair line fractures, barley visible. The original case is included. It has a broken handle and shows wear. Strings and a bridge are needed and the neck has some damage as shown in the pictures. This bowl-back or 'tator-bug' style mandolin features brazilian rosewood and maple; tortoise shell pick guard with abalone inlays; binding is alternating patterns of ebony & ivory (or bone). The inlay is perfectly intact, there is no loss.This is extremely well crafted and well ornamented. Hello and welcome to our ebay site!
