You are bidding on a BIG & BEAUTIFUL Antique Oil Painting & Gilded Carved Frame. This piece is a RARE FIND due to its size, age and beauty and dates back to the 19th Century and we believe its European School. This piece appears to be EARLY possibly pre -1850 but please make your own determination and is a matter of opinion. This was very well done is one of the oldest paintings I have ever brought to market of this size. It is an original Oil on Canvas that depicts a big beautiful Landscape Mountain Scene with Small Village and bridge with a beautiful house estate on the mountain top as shown in the photos with small figures with horse and carriage of a genre scene on an old road of the time period in which this was painted in. This painting was done with great detail in both color and clarity with brush strokes that created beautiful shades of tonalism in the sky with some haze coming through in the blue sky and clouds and has beautiful floral foliage and trees throughout the painting with mountains and hills on the horizon. The artist was a TRUE MASTER, because we see great care and SKILL in the painting down to its finest details. With paintings of this caliber you can see the amount of care and attention the artist put into the piece and accomplished quite a bit here. It has its original stretcher with mortise and tenon construction with its naturally aged patina. It is beautifully aged with natural craquelure throughout and possible impainting and touch up through the years with some minor imperfections even now due to its age and may need some professional touch up. The frame is nicely gilded and carved with gilt loss and wear as well that is consistant with its age and it was most likely reframed in the last 50 years or so. The bottom of the painting is very dark so we cant see any signature of any kind and has patina and age and it could be a very early European piece. This was VERY WELL made with quality that surpasses ANYTHING that is made today but Please understand that this is an antique and has some minor imperfections on it with its age as stated and shown in the pictures but overall its in excellent shape.
