Description
~*~Hello and thank you for looking~*~ ~*~This buy it now is for this beautiful, 100% hand-woven roll of antique/vintage European hemp/linen  roll  measuring ~*~(9.83 yards)29.5 feet long by 24.4 inches wide (9 meters by 62cm) ~*~* AMAZING textile~ This hand woven textile is the most wonderful, deep washed flaxy tone~the fiber content is most likely a combination of hemp, flax, thistle, and perhaps even nettle! The wonderful mix of fibers tones are clearly seen in this AMAZING textile with simply stunning natural linen striations and the most wonderful wonderful thick, chunky weave! This roll is one of the widest hand woven rolls for its chunky texture~ it is just a wonderful roll in every way!   It would make the most wonderful rustic pillows, bed cover, slipcovers,  table runner, upholstery fabric, you name it! Sunning. This is a lovely heavy weight textile, very durable~*~ These textiles were built to last for 2 generations of constant use, you simply can't get that quality of textile today. If you have seen the cover of the Jan/Feb Veranda magazine, you will see this textile used in the most beautiful way~*~ I have many many yards of these textiles in my back stock so if you require further yards for a large project, simply email me and I will match rolls for larger quantities~*~   This roll is in unused condition with storage dirt that will wash. This roll also has a few small marks that may not fully wash also so perhaps saved for a few cutting projects, unless you don't mind pale mark or two~ they are small and easily cut around. Washing is SO easy, totally machine washable~ please see below~ ~*~This wonderful fabric has so many uses:STUNNING table runners~*~Upholstery,  bedding, cushions, curtains, clothing, Roman Blinds, bags, ~ so many wonderful sewing projects~*~   ~*~The woman weavers of yesterday would spend their evenings weaving these amazing rolls of linen. It took the average woman 1 night to weave 60 centimeters ( 24 inches) of linen  ~*~ These rolls are 100%  machine washable, warm ..if there is visible dirt, just add a bit of Oxywash! They are so easy to wash, simply spin dry then remove when wet. Roll the linen tightly and let sit overnight. In the morning unroll and allow to dry naturally~ this presses the linen and there is usually no need to iron ( unless you prefer it perfect). They can be dried in a dryer also which softens the texture of the fabric! I like to add Downy Ultra to my last rinse cycle for an added touch of softness~  Pure linen or hemp rolls tend to have no shrinkage, the rolls with cotton tend to have some shrinkage ( I always list the content so if it doesn't red that it has a cotton warp or weft, it is pure linen) . These rolls are tough and sturdy, built to last.....and last and last making them wonderfully Eco-friendly aslo~ The average age of these rolls is about 100 years old, they are wonderful textile treasures~*~ Hemp is built to last for many many generations making it a lovely textile for creating family heirlooms~*~  All of my linen rolls are produced using natural fibers. Natural fibers have the irregularities and subtleties that are inherent ...adding to their rustic charm~*~     These rolls are increasingly difficult to find as they have been used so extensively over the past 20 years. This is a wonderful opportunity to own your own piece of textile history~*~ ~*~Please see my  other items for more textile treasures~*~~*~For weekly updates, please add me to your favorites list!~* ~*~Important information~*~ Customer satisfaction is extremely important to me! If you are not satisfied with your purchase please contact me immediately~*~ I would always endeavor to solve any problems together with my customer. I am a very friendly ebayer and simply determined to bring beautiful textiles to the world! I politely request that all items be paid for within 7 days. I always post quickly; every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and I always combine shipping charges to save my customers money on postage, this is important to me! If there is a discrepancy of more than $2.00 between what you paid and the actual postage charge, please email me as it would have only been a mistake on my part and I will very happily refund the difference.  ~*~ All of my textiles are wrapped in acid free tissue and sent in water tight wrapping, at no extra charge to my customers. I sell many items therefore I must state that the buyer assumes all risk of lost post. To avoid possible disappointment, I strongly recommend insuring your parcel. I always retain proof of postage. In the unlikely event, 100% of recovered compensation goes to the buyer~*~ All items that I sell are either vintage or antique, and the individual item condition will be described to the best of my ability however, often flaws are inherent in vintage and antique textiles. Please email me if condition is vital to your purchase and we can discuss condition in detail. I sincerely thank you for your interest in my textiles~*~
