THE ONLY MARKING I CAN FIND IS THE #137. IT IS IN VERY SOLID GOOD CONDITION. THE HARDWARE ALL APPEARS TO BE BRASS. I AM GUESSING THE AGE RANGE AS TO INFORMATION I WAS GIVEN WHEN I PURCHASED THIS. IT IS 27 1/2" WIDE  20" HIGH AND 16" DEEP THE INFO I WAS GIVEN WHEN I PURCHASED THIS SOME YEARS AGO WAS: IT HAD BEEN IN THE FAMILY FOR GENERATIONS AND IT HAD COME OVER ON A BOAT FROM EUROPE WHEN GREAT-GREAT GRANDPARENTS CAME TO U.S., WHICH WAS THE REASON THE LEGS HAD BEEN CUT OFF. THIS IS WHAT I WAS TOLD. THEY SAID IT HAD BEEN APPRAISED AT $500.00, BUT I DON'T REALLY KNOW, I NEVER HAD IT APPRAISED. I JUST LIKED IT. I CAN FIND LITTLE INFORMATION IN REFERENCE TO THIS TYPE OF DESK, TO REALLY DETERMINE AGE. I CAN SEE WHERE DOWELS WERE USED WHERE THE LEGS WERE CONNECTED. IT APPEARS THAT THE DIVIDED AREAS IN THE LARGE BOTTOM DRAWER WERE ADDED AT A LATER DATE, THE WOOD SEEMS TO BE OLD SCRAPS OF SORTS. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TYPE OF WOOD THIS IS. THERE ARE A FEW SMALL SCRATCHES ON THE FRONT BUT NOT DEEP, BARELY NOTICABLE. I AM NOT SURE THAT IT HAS ANY TYPE OF FINISH AND MAY HAVE BEEN PREVIOUSLY STRIPPED. THE LARGE DRAWER AND FRONT UNDER THE DRAWER SEEM TO HAVE A THIN VINEAR LAYER COVERING THE WOOD. IF ANYONE WOULD HAVE ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I COULD ADD PLEASE CONTACT ME.
