Description
rebellen57 Store Antique Singer Sewing Machine No 66 w/ oak work station This is an absolutely beautiful sewing machine housed in an equally beautiful oak work station. I have never seen one like this. Fresh from a local estate here in RI. Inside one of the drawers I found the original receipt tucked into the instruction booklet, both of which are included. Purchased in Providence, RI on it looks like September 7, 1916 for the price of $62.00.Instruction manual calls it a Singer Sewing Machine No. 66 "Lock Stitch for Family Use". The machine itself is beautiful and has beautiful ornate details on it. Appears to be in very good condition. Still a piece of fabric on it from a project it looks like nobody got to finish. Beautiful ornate silvertone plates on the front and back. Colored detail is still nice and colorful for its age. I unfortunately don't know much about sewing machines so I don't know if it has all its pieces. If you email your questions I will try to figure them out. The oak cabinet that it is housed in is beautiful and appears to be all original. I would say the piece is in overall very good to excellent condition for its age. A few little marks on the top piece that opens but they are not overly noticeable and don't detract from the beauty of this piece in anyway (tried to show in picture #5) Piece is on castors and as it is oak is very heavy. All drawers are present and in good condition. Piece is approximately 32" long x 17 1/2" wide and about 30" high. Last picture shows the back of the piece.Item is sold as is as shown, so please email me for any additional photographs or if you have any questions. Due to the size and weight of this piece it is being listed as pick up only. I am located in the northwest corner of RI which is about 1 hour south of Boston, 3o minutes west of Providence, and about 3 1/2 hours from New York City. Only a couple of miles to Rt 395 and about 20 minutes off of Rt 95. Thanks for looking!
