You are bidding on an Antique Singer Sewing Machine.  This is a model 27 K with a Treadle mechanism.  The design is the golden Egyptian Spinx.  This machine comes in a Tiger Oak Cabinet with 6 drawers and a Rare cover.  The sewing machine and cabinet are in good condition. The serial # M115720 indicates that this machine was manufactured between January and June of the year 1900.  The information that we received directly from the Singer company was that this was made in Scotland. Please refer to the pictures to see how wonderful this sewing machine looks!  The gold paint design is still very bright and mostly intact.  The black paint has a few scratches, mostly around the edges.  This machine appears to have been used recently and still had a needle connected.  The leather strap is included, but is no longer together.  There are 17 bobbins, 5 cases, and a few other parts included also. The cabinet is in good condition for an antique.  The front drawers have a nice design and brass type handles.  We also have the key for the locks, but are unsure how it works.  The pieces missing on the long drawer are included for repair.  The drop leaf section still works well.  The cast iron base and foot look great.  The only discoloring appears to be on the foot piece and the arm that connects it to the wheel.  The wood all looks good except for the top of the table.  There are scratches from the case and a top piece missing from the edge.  This seems like it could all be restored by a professional.  The rare top cover piece is in excellent condition.  One of the best seen on a piece of this age. The table measures 35" L x 16" W x 29" H without the cover.  With the top in place it measures 40" tall.  The drop leaf is 10" long.  The case measures 20 1/2" L x 12" W x 11" H.   The sewing machine itself measures 17" L x 7" W x 10" overall.  Altogether, it weighs 100 pounds.
