The tablecloth is raw silk i believe, and is subtle ecru in colour with double borders in hem stitch embroidered with large scale peacocks to each corner - opposite each other with smaller motifs to the side borders and embellished with beautiful flowers and leaves in so realiistic a design just fabulous hand work of silk shading in true scale for definition, a work of textile art as it were!.  The cloth measures 60" by 88" apx   Offered in very good condition a few marks here and there, nothing major..  no damage, not perfect but perfectly presentable, i'n not an expect so i prefer to leave this cloth in case i should spoil it through lack of knowlesdge and experience, so unlaundered but clean no odour or anything, one little pull to the material no holes or thinning, the tablecloth is all hand embroidered and finished, please note one edge of the border is seperate and added on to the cloth as the hem stitch border, this may be an aspect of the age due to fabric width at time of weaving? usually this is a sign of a quality cloth and points to the commissioning of a piece for a special client, possibly?
