It is not attached to any fabric or material. I have shown it against a black background, as well as an off white one. The edges of this very old textile are folded under and there are no raw edges. The main stitches are wool, with a few silk highlights in the center cream-colored rose. The colors are very soft - beige, tan, red, blue and teal. It measures 8" by 9". I think it would make a lovely applique for a pillow, a pocketbook, on the center back of a shirt or jacket ..... the ideas are endless. Please ask questions before bidding.
