Antique Medieval Needlepoint Pillow Unicorn and Lion Stunning 19th Century Textile So Regal Start Price USD 425.00 Current Price USD 425.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Friday, October 03, 2008 End Time Monday, October 13, 2008 Location Wallkill, NY See more about 'Antique Medieval Needlepoint Pillow Unicorn and Lion' Description   Please note: my camera can't seem to do this pillow justice.  It seems to wash out the color.  Pictures 2,4,7 and 8 represent the color the best.   It is antique, but still retains beautiful colors and tones.   It is wonderful.      Offered for Auction today is a Truly Spectacular Antique 19th Century Needlepoint/ Petitepoint Pillow.  It is Austrian.  It beautifully depicts a Unicorn and Lion wearing Battle Shields and holding Medieval Banner Flags.  Thier faces, shields and flags are done in petitpoint.  In the center, is a tree of life surrounded by florals and other colorful foliage.  This textile is SO wonderful and in fine condition.  No holes, missing stitches, or odors.  The needlepoint measures a generous 18" x 17".  The background is Rust.  The colors are Jewel tones and are depicted very accurately on my screen.  The needlepoint is surrounded by a fringed braid in golds, rusts, and  burgandy.  The fabric surrounding the needlepoint and on the back of the pillow is a two tone silky 3 1/2" wide stripe in olive green.  The whole pillow is trimmed with a super high end, braided, wooden tassel fringe in colors of green, gold, rust and burgandy.   The whole pillow measures 24" square.  It is completely serged inside with a goosedown insert.   The shipping is $12.00 parcel post.  If the cost to ship is less, I will send the difference along with your pillow.  I am happy to combine shipping.
