Description
Up For Auction! Antique King Liberty Trumpet - 1912 Model H.N. White produced model #39290 in 1912. This horn is in very good condition. Valves and slides work well and the horn has excellent engraving, hardly any dings, and not too much tarnish - considering that it's 96 years old! The horn plays well, producing a full, rich sound and allowing excellent range for experienced trumpet players. The current owner is a former big-band player, with stints with Stan Kenton, Jimmy Dorsey, and Les Elgart, among others. The original case and mouthpiece are not included, but the owner does provide a new hard-shell case and a brand new gold plated Jet Tone Studio Model 10MD (great for upper register). The bell measures 4.5 inches. The horn is 19.75 inches long and weighs 36 ounces. This is a version of the King Liberty played by trumpet masters like Harry James and Ziggy Elman, among others. This professional model horn could be refurbished and used by big-band or jazz players. The horn bell reads: "King - Liberty Model - Made by the H.N. White Co. - Cleve,d O." All original except for the new hard shell case and mouthpiece. This is a no reserve auction! We will gladly combine shipping, when possible, if purchasing multiple items. We highly encourage purchasing shipping insurance, as we are not responsible for items lost or damaged by the USPS. International buyers are welcome! Beginning July 1, 2008 any purchases made and delivered to the state of Washington will be charged applicable sales tax due to new state and federal tax laws. The sales tax amount will be charged and added to your invoice based on the purchaser's zip code and the shipping and handling fees are taxed as well. Thanks for looking and good luck with your bids!
