Antique Flamed Mahogany Hepplewhite Sideboard Buffet Click to View Image Album Click to View Image Album Click to View Image Album This is an original antique sideboard made by the Charak Furniture Co. of Bolton, Massachusetts in 1952. Hand-made, this solid mahogany piece features a flamed mahogany top and drawer fronts, detailed satinwood/boxwood pin inlay, solid brass hardware and solid dovetail joinery. This is a classic example of antique American furniture at its finest. It has half-shell inlay motif highlighting the corner details of the graciously curved doors and beautiful bell flower inlay, straight tapered legs and bookmatched mahogany. The original brass hardware has a striking floral pattern carved on the plate and the finish is in its excellent original condition - featuring a rich patina that Charak is famous for. Complete with the original Charak label in the top drawer, this sideboard was hand-made by craftsman from a bygone era of craftsmanship - an era where furniture was built with passion, care, quality materials and attention to detail. It was made to last. Charak furniture is very hard to come by and when it does appear - it is much sought-after.
