Measures 5' x 6'5" (152xm x 195cm,) woven between the last decade of the 19th century and the first decade of the 20th century. Exhibits characteristics of pre1905 (1st Russian Revolution) weaving from the Caucasus. Dyes appear to natural, there are no colours that seem to be synthetic. Restoration and stabilization work expertly done on ends / sides with a few minor reweaves. Overall excellent condition with even low/medium pile, slightly oxidized brown/black. Multiple dark red weft shoots.  Very interesting mix of archaic field designs from the region with a slightly more complex border. Over all a visually stunning piece.
