A stickler for detail, Hugues Voyer uses his historical research and unique touch to transcribe a vision of the past. He has developed a unique technique for exposing wood grain through juxtaposition and a play of colours.   Transparency on wood adds dimension to furnishings, breathes life, and creates an atmosphere that is close to reality. One piece can boast between 15 and 25 coats of paint, until the artist reaches the desired effect.
