The clip has a large main panel to the top, which features a scrolling foliate design, with a further three looped panels below this featuring similar floral deigns. From the main panel two chains are suspended to either side, and a further one would have been suspended from central panel. One one of the original appendages remain, and this is a matching gilt metal vinaigrette (?).AGE Mid Victorian, circa 1860SIZE14cm (5¼") long5cm (2") wideCONDITIONThe chatelaine is in a very good condition although as mention the middle appendage is missing, plus the appendage and clip to the left hand side is also missing. The metal is in an undamaged condition, although there is some slight wear to the gilt finish.
